Allison Pace, Associate Professional Counselor
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying burdens no one else can see. You might find yourself wondering why others seem to handle things more easily—or why you’re exhausted just trying to get through the day. Mental health touches every part of our lives: body, mind, relationships, and spirit. When one area suffers, the others are affected too. My approach to counseling is holistic, recognizing the deep connection between all aspects of who you are.
I work primarily with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-supported therapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing memories and experiences. I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused techniques, tailoring sessions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
My passion for mental health grew out of ministry alongside my husband. As a pastor’s wife, I’ve seen firsthand how struggles are often minimized in Christian communities—and how many believers feel guilt or shame for needing help. But the truth is, your faith and your mental health are not in conflict. You are a beautiful, complex creation living in a broken world. Needing support doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human.
In particular, I have a heart for supporting first responders and their families. Those who serve our communities often carry silent wounds, and I’m honored to create a space where they can process stress, trauma, and burnout without judgment.
Whether you share my faith or not, my goal is to offer a safe, respectful environment where you feel seen and supported. I’m geek-friendly, down-to-earth, and always happy to incorporate your interests—from pop culture to creative outlets—into the therapeutic process.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University, am nationally certified through the NBCC, and hold Associate Professional Counselor (APC) licensure in the state of Georgia. I’m committed to walking with you in a way that is ethical, compassionate, and centered on hope.
